Reporting to the VP for Information Technology, Jim will define the scope, business and functional requirements for various business applications. He will plan, deploy and administer applications on an ongoing basis, and be responsible for migration and future application rollout responsibilities. He cited a number of reasons for accepting this offer:

"This gives me a Director title, so it's a forward progression in my career. There are opportunities for advancement to senior levels of management. I've got a good boss-willing to mentor and wants to find a successor. This is a good company-20 years old. I have wanted to work in Southern California for years and I finally have the chance. It's also a decent compensation package."

"What helped me was knowing I would eventually get a job and that my skill set has not been diminished or lost it's value. The northern California job market is flooded with candidates, and companies in the area are looking to hold on to what they've got and are willing to lay off folks.
